Becoming an action taker

Storing your ideas
Storing your ideas

I hope that this post will give you a gentle, heartfelt, kick up the butt as I know that I myself need it regularly. I often find myself come up with creative ideas- blog posts, podcast, fashion looks and make up looks. Normally these ideas come into my head when my nervous system is really relaxed and I've prioritised right brain activities, and my environment is decluttered and as calm as it can be ( I've learnt to improvise a LOT with this as a single mum of 5!) Once these ideas start coming like this, they normally flow out of me so much so that my brain struggles to keep up with it all! I have numerous notepads around the house and this helps immensely with keeping these ideas locked in. But, I do not want to have lots of notepads with fabulous ideas and none of them even getting started, so I make sure that I start the domino effect by beginning one of the projects with an action.

So far example, I have brands and sponsorship ideas, of which company to work with etc, so my action would be to simply send them an email NOW so that it gets the ball rolling. What I often find is the by taking that action, it sets the momentum in motion. The hardest part is taking that first step- but by doing so , you motivate yourself to achieve more. It doesn't matter how you feel, you might never 'feel' like doing something, so you just have to take action and the positive feelings will come knowing you have started.

Action takers are the people who change the world, bit by bit, by having a vision and slowly chipping away at it. Who knows where that next small action step will take you?

Keep pushing on,

Andrea
